Welcome to The Curious Turtle! By visiting our website or shopping in our store, you agree to the following terms and policies. We're committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for all readers.

1. Store Use & Conduct

Our bookstore is a family-friendly space. We expect all visitors to treat staff, customers, and the space with respect. Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in being asked to leave.

2. Purchases & Payments

We accept major credit/debit cards, cash, and contactless payments in-store. Online purchases are processed securely through our e-commerce partner. All prices are listed in USD. 

3. Returns & Exchanges

  • Items may be returned within 30 days of purchase with a receipt.

  • Items must be in new or resaleable condition.

  • Final sale items include gift cards, digital downloads, and limited-edition/signed books.

  • Online returns must be approved by email before being shipped back. Shipping is only refunded if the item was incorrect or damaged.

4. Online Orders

We ship within the U.S. and offer local pickup. Delivery times and rates are shown at checkout. While we do our best to keep inventory updated, we may occasionally cancel or adjust orders due to availability.

5. Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy. We do not sell or share your personal information. Any information collected—such as name, email, or address—is used only to process orders, improve our service, or communicate with you (if opted in).

6. Events & Classes

Event participation may require registration. By registering, you agree to our cancellation and attendance policies. Photos may be taken during public events and used in social media or promotions. Please let us know if you'd prefer not to be photographed.

7. Gift Cards

Gift cards are non-refundable and do not expire. Lost or stolen cards cannot be replaced.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted here and effective immediately upon posting.
